Abstract

|
Scleroderma is recognized as a disorder of the connective tissue characterized by inflammation, degeneration and fibrosis. A benign variant of scleroderma, CRST syndrome is reported. The patient with this disorder, thirty-two years old, Korean male, has skin changes such as dermal and subcutaneous calcinosis, Raynaud’s phenomenon, sclerodactyly and telangiectasia. The possible involvement of the gastrointestinal system and other organs was not cleared and affected individual had a long clinical course. Brief review of the literature was also made.
